About TulumTrip.ca
TulumTrip.ca is an independent travel guide to Tulum, Mexico, written specifically for Canadians. That angle is the whole point: most Tulum content online is written for an American reader, priced in US dollars, and silent about the things that shape a trip from Canada, like which cities have direct flights this winter, what things cost once your card adds its foreign transaction fee, and how the trip stacks up against a week at an all-inclusive.
What we promise
- Prices in context. Pesos first, Canadian dollars alongside, and a note when a price changed recently.
- Honest trade-offs. We tell you what to skip (overpriced beach clubs, "secret cenote" tours, airport currency desks) as readily as what to book.
- Current facts. Tulum changes fast: a new airport, reshuffled ruins fees, a reopened pyramid at Cobá. Every guide shows its last updated date, and we correct anything a reader flags.
- No AI-generated filler farms, no pay-to-play rankings.Nobody pays to be recommended here.
How the site makes money
Two ways: display advertising, and affiliate links to booking platforms we would use ourselves (hotel search, tours, travel insurance). If you book through one of those links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend, and we mark the details in our affiliate disclosure.
A note on accuracy
Entry fees, opening hours, flight schedules and safety advisories all change, sometimes between our updates. Treat prices here as recent baselines rather than promises, and always confirm the things that can ruin a day: advisories at travel.gc.ca, flight schedules with your airline, and opening hours before a long drive.
